Day with Charlie

While Denise and I were walking for a good cause, Peyton spent the morning with Charlie and Drew on the farm. Charlie took Peyton fishing and Peyton was very excited that he caught a fish. After our walk, Denise and I caught up with them at the lake and then took a tour of the farm and met the animals. They have a baby calf on board, a bunch of cows, a pony named Cookie and some beautiful horses. Peyton even got to jump in the saddle of one. We had a great time out there and I know that Peyton enjoyed himself. He was asleep about 5 minutes down the road! Thanks Charlie for showing Peyton a good time out on the farm!

March of Dimes Walk 2009

I joined my good friend Denise for the March of Dimes walk on Saturday at 8:15. We set out for a 4.5 mile walk with hundreds of others for a cause to benefit sweet babies. We had a good time and quite the sense of accomplishment when we crossed the finish line. We made a b-line for the grilled hot dogs and Pepsi too! Thanks for the invitation Denise...I enjoyed it!

Makenna's 15 Month Checkup

Posted by Picasa

Thanks Papa Chuck!

It's been a whirlwind since we've gotten back from vacation and a week later I'm finally getting these pictures posted. I just want to send a shout out to my favorite father in law - Papa Chuck. Your hospitality never ceases to amaze me. Thank you for your kindness and generosity and for plain out spoiling us while in Tulsa. I hope the house wasn't too quiet for ya after we left. Until next time...WE LOVE YOU!

Easter Egg Hunt

With the way our traveling plans worked out this year, I didn't think we would be celebrating Easter with egg hunts or Easter baskets. Little did I know that Aunt Kristen was heading up an Easter Egg Hunt for the church, including games, the hunt, and a cookout. I was glad that we got to participate in an egg hunt...Makenna's first. Unfortunately, my camera batteries went dead and by the time I found Chuck to help out with pictures, the event was just about over. The kids had a great time, got great candy, and I even managed to start my tan for the season. It was a beautiful day and Chuck even arranged for a friend of his to come out to the church and take pictures of all three kids before the Easter festivities. I can't wait to see the results of those...hopefully I can share them with you as well. Hope everyone has a blessed Easter! We'll be flying home...

Incredible Pizza Party

Papa Chuck hosted an Incredible Pizza party for Peyton and Hannah's birthday. They have an all you eat buffet and then an area with arcade games, mini golf, and go-carts. Happy Birthday Peyton and Hannah!

Night Out with Nana B

Nana B took us out to eat last night to a neat little place that served BBQ and steak. They also brought out appetizers of hummus and tabouli. I had fried catfish though...it was yummy. I had a picture of Nana B and Jim but Jim's eye's were shut. Sorry Jim! I had to substitute it with a picture of Makenna. :) (He's so nice...I'm sure he doesn't really mind.) Thanks for dinner Nana B!

Day out with Brian

Brian and I escaped from the kids this afternoon and had a great time shopping and having lunch. We went to one of our favorite places out here, Eskimo Joes* and bought family t-shirts and then hit up Baby Gap, and The Children's Place. For lunch we savored every bite at The Cheesecake Factory. I know your mouth is watering...mine is for sure. We ate a really good spicy chicken sandwich and then had a huge slice of banana creme cheescake...YUM! We also brought a slice of Chocolate Coconut Creme home. Can't wait to sink my teeth into that!

*Eskimo Joes is a bar and grill on the campus of Oklahoma State University. They are famous for their cheese fries. They have a store in one of the local malls that sells t-shirts, marinades, spices, and everything else such as pencils, back packs, and chip clips. Check it out here

3 Little Monkeys Sittin' on the Bed...

Peyton, Hannah, and Kenna bombarded us this morning and brought their bananas with them! Papa Chuck calls this trio of monkeys, Bubba, Banana, and Bumpin'. We've only been here for 3 days and have already bought 3 bunches of bananas!!!

Flight to Oklahoma

Thanks to the suggestion of our good friend Chad we save ourselves a 16 hour drive to Tulsa by checking flights at the last minute. We got such a good deal along with having an extra evening to get things together and repacking to meet new flight standards. Instead of leaving on Friday after lunch, we left bright and early Saturday morning and were in Tulsa by 11:30am. It was wonderful! Peyton has been quite the flying pro for some time but this was the first time for Kenna. She did wonderfully and received her first flight certificate.

Busted!

Yesterday Brian busted Peyton without even knowing he was doing it. Peyton was downstairs getting his book bag ready for school when Brian yelled at him to come upstairs. Peyton came upstairs and Brian told him to bend over and touch and toes. Please keep in mind that Brian was playing with Peyton. "No daddy, don't spank me!!!!" That raised Brian's curiosity so he said, "then tell me what you did". At this point Brian was thinking ok...I was just playing with him but obviously he's done something because he's acting guilty. Peyton said, "I put my Bakugan in my book bag to take to school". Brian told him to take out the Bakugan and go downstairs and wait on him. No, Peyton didn't get spanked in case your wondering. Brian stayed very calm and cool until Peyton was out of earshot and then started laughing at the fact that he caught Peyton without even trying. We have very firm rules about not taking toys to school but our little guy just doesn't want to accept it. We later found out from the after school teacher that Peyton had been talking about sneaking his Bakugans out so his daddy wouldn't find out in order for him and little friends to play their little game. The little sneak! I always wondered how my parents knew whenever I did something bad...It's kind of cool that we can pass that wonderment on to our children...ha..ha...

Just in case your wondering what a Bakugan is... go here
