Cookie Monster

I have always been a huge fan of the cookie...actually I can turn down many desserts but a cookie is just not one them.
Last night Peyton and I made sugar cookies (with brightly colored dinosaurs) and sat down with some to watch the Food Network Pumpkin Carving contest.
Brian was trying to get Kenna to go to sleep but she looked at me eating my cookie and started SCREAMING! I held out my cookie and asked her if she'd like one and she...no kidding...jerked that cookie out of my hand and crammed into her mouth so fast! Brian and I looked at each other with dropped jaws and then busted out laughing. Is she a cookie monster baby or is she just teething?

Fall Festival

Today was Peyton's school fall festival. They had all kinds of inflatables, crafts, activities, food and entertainment. It was quite muddy with all of the rain but what kind of a kid cares about all of that?!

Peyton had a great time and came home with a bag full of candy that he won at several different gaming booths such as a ring toss, putt putt, fishing, a duck mathematics game and the list goes on!

Every class decorated a scarecrow and Peyton's class did a moose to go along with the theme of his kindergarten class.

Jack O Lantern

Peyton and I carved our first Jack O Lantern EVER tonight! Peyton had the opportunity to go to the Nevins Farms on a field trip with his class and they picked apples and pumpkins. He wanted to carve the pumpkin and was very specific on how he wanted it.

While we were carving, he told me to save some of the seeds so that we can give Grandpa some for his garden. We also saved some to roast. After carving the pumpkin, he said we have to light a candle and put it inside. He was so cute with how he was giving me step by step instructions.

I thought our little Jack turned out pretty cute!

Splish Splash

Makenna had the best time taking her bath tonight. She was splashing everywhere making a big ole mess! She was even chasing the bubbles.
She also had her 9 month check up this afternoon. She's weighing in at 17 pounds 8 ounces and is 28 1/2" long. She's in the 50th percentile for her height and in the 25th percentile for her weight. No shots this time (what a relief!) other than the first half of her flu shot.
Peyton tagged along and they weighed and measured him for the fun of it. He now weighs 51 pounds and is 3'11".
They grow so fast and of course Peyton looks like a giant next to Makenna but he'll always be my little boy!
