Makenna is 4 months old today!

Makenna is 4 months old today. She loves to smile, study her hands, sit up and look around, and talk using a lot of tongue sounds because she discovered her tongue last week! She has a check up next week so we'll keep you posted as to how much she weighs and how tall she's gotten.
It's so hard to believe that 4 months have come and gone. Makenna has been such a wonderful addition to our family. We love you little girl!

Peyton and Buddy

We're dog-sitting Buddy this week while my parents are on vacation. Buddy used to be afraid of Peyton because Peyton would spend most of his time chasing Buddy around the house. But for some reason, Buddy has really attached himself to Peyton this time around. They are finally becoming real "buddies".

The Game Is On!

Peyton FINALLY had his first game last Friday night. It was a makeup game since his first three games were canceled due to the rain. Then we turned right back around and had another game on Saturday. Watching these 4 and 5 year olds playing ball is so much fun. They get so excited when they hit the ball, they don't remember to run! Peyton plays 1st base and being the Mr. Social that he is, he talks with everyone that lands on his base. He pats their back and tells them that they're doing a good job. What team spirit!

CVS Bandwagon

All of this for $0.14!

Ok...I have to admit...I've jumped on the CVS Bandwagon! Let me start by saying, if you're not doing this "game" as some are calling it, you're crazy! The deals and savings are just unbelievable! For those of you who are clueless as to what I'm even talking about, please let me explain. "CVSing" is the art of using the CVS sales ad, the Sunday coupons, and the Extra Care Buck (ECB) reward program to purchase items for little to no money at all.
I'll give you an example as shown in the picture.

Nice & Easy hair color on sale for 5.99
Alavert Allergy on sale for 6.99 (x2)
Zone Nutrition Bars on sale for 1.39 (x3)
TOTAL: $24.14
Then I used:
2.00 coupon for hair color
4.00 coupon for Alavert (I got these from moneysavingmom.com)
4.00 coupon for Alavert
4.00 CVS coupon for $4 off purchase of $20 (you get this when you register your email at CVS.com)
4.00 ECB earned from buying the Alavert
4.00 ECB earned from buying the Alavert
2.00 ECB earned from buying the Zone bars
TOTAL: $24.00

I got all of this for $0.14 plus tax for a total of only $1.10!

The main goal is to purchase items that give you ECB's back so that you can apply them tp the purchases you make next time around. If you keep it rotating, you should always have great results.

Brian and I are mainly using this program to get ahead on purchases such as diapers, wipes, and formula. I purchased a large can of Enfamil formula today that normally runs $28 for only $8! What a deal! If I would have had the coupons that Enfamil normally sends out, I could have gotten it for only $3.00. Hopefully my formula coupons will come soon!

Happy shopping!

Hold on Baby!

Makenna has some of the cutest actions. She's approaching 4 months now and her personality is really beginning to develop. I just love how she looks at us while she's eating...but I especially love how she holds on to our fingers. Hold on baby!

Ready for School

Brian and I had a crazy morning getting the kids ready and ourselves ready for work. But aren't they so cute just sitting here...waiting on us?!

New Organizational Hero

You all have got to check out this website! My friend Sharon discovered it while trying to find ideas to make her spare bedroom into a scrapbook room.
I have been most impressed by Amanda's organizational skills. They are quite honed to say the least! And her scrapbook room is incredible! Check her out if you need inspiration on scrapbooking (she has some great layouts), organizing or even need ideas for dinner. She has some great looking recipes.

Babies

I just back from the hospital after visiting my friend Karen who gave birth to a beautiful baby boy two days ago. I have another friend whose wife delivered their baby girl yesterday. How bad is it that I have a 3 month old at home and I already want another? Truth be known, I'd have a houseful if I could afford it. But for now, I will cherish my two sweethearts and keep kissing their faces off!

Rained Out

T-Ball was rained out unfortunately but Peyton was happy nevertheless because he got his uniform and had team pictures taken. With any luck, his game will be on this coming Saturday.
