Shipwreck Cove

After church we spent the afternoon at Shipwreck Cove - a new water park. It's small but it's perfect for little kids. They have 2 water slides, a baby play area with only 5 inches of water, and a lazy river. We had a great, relaxing afternoon not to mention a lot of fun. (Plus we wore the kids out!)

Hot Dog Day

Every year our local zoo has a "Hot Dog Day" to raise money for the zoo. They sell hot dogs, chips, ice cream, and soda for only 25 cents each. We have a zoo membership so we got in for free and the kids had a great time eating lunch and playing on the playground. I've done several blog posts concerning zoos and animals and I certainly know that you don't need to see us chowing down on dogs. So I'll just show a few pictures of Peyton and Makenna playing. It sure was a pretty afternoon.

Peyton's Class Field Trip

Peyton's class went down to the state museum and I had the opportunity to tag along. We had a great time learning about sea animals, outer space, and dinosaurs among other things. Enjoy the pics!

Pics for Father's Day

For the Father's Day this year I had the kid's pictures taken in Sooner gear. Brian also got a signed football for Christmas that I had to sneak out of the house but we were successful and got some really cute shots.

Makenna's 1st Haircut

I took Makenna to Snipits for her first haircut. She not only got her hair cut but styled with 2 ponytails, a first time certificate and we got her to take home her cut curls. She was not happy one bit about having that cape on her but it was nothing that a Dum Dum sucker and an animal cookie wouldn't fix! All in all she did very well. And now since her hair has been shaped up, her curls are curly again. We even purchased some moose for her. She's such a girlie girl.

Why I love CVS

I love CVS because tonight I went and bought 3 packs of Pampers Cruisers for only $2.16 per package! They have their jumbo packs on sale for 8.99 and thanks to of my favorite saving money blogs (here and here) I found out that this is a non advertised item that earns $5.00 in Extra Care Bucks per pack with a limit of 3. I read the discussion board and some where saying that the ECB's weren't printing automatically. I told this to the sales clerk and he just took my word for it and at the end of the transaction, he printed me a $15.00 ECB receipt. Within my transaction I used a $4 off $20 purchase coupon and a Pampers coupon and it brought the price down. I would have done better if a) I would have had 2 more Pampers coupons and b) if I would have had some ECB's on hand from a previous purchase. BUT, I'm not complaining by any means! You know what else? The Pampers coupon I had wasn't even for Cruisers. It was for Easy Ups. THIS is why I love CVS!
